We’ve been busy editing and designing up the next issue of New Mountain Magazine, which we’re excited to announce is available to PRE-ORDER now!
Please note: all orders will be sent from 26th October.
Who’s in the issue?
Contributors and more…
As always, we’ve brought together a big mix of photographers, writers, makers, illustrators and adventurers from across the outdoor world:
Chris Burkard shares his new rules for storytelling.
Josh Conroy bikepacks across Türkiye, following no route but satellite data.
Christoph Johann returns with more award-winning backcountry skiing photography from Alaska.
Jonny Parker runs, surfs and fishes his way around Cornwall.
We meet one of the founders of the global skate community, GRLSWIRL.
Neza Peterca talks us through making one-of-a-kind mountaineering gear.
We delve into the history of Suunto, from its beginnings to 90 years of adventure.
ELLIKER takes us on a moth-trapping workshop.
And we explore environmental stories from highlining in Iceland, connecting forests and oceans in Japan, to glacial change in the Swiss Alps, and more.
228 pages.
Printed on FSC-certified uncoated & gloss paper stocks.
Soft sewn bound.
Behind the cover:
We’ve done something a little different this time around. We’ve put a 42 year old image on the front cover of New Mountain. No dramatic summit shot, glossy brand campaign, or the latest piece of gear, just CJ Sturtevant flying at Tiger Mountain in Washington, photographed by her husband George, in 1984.
It might be our most uncommercial cover yet, but somehow it feels more New Mountain than anything else we could have put on the front. Read more about our covers here:

That’s it for now!
We’ll be back soon with more stories, updates and news.
